Lahko - The Cult

The Cult is a four part documentary series about Veijo Baltzar, a recognized cultural figure, who is suspected of human trafficking and serious sex crimes. How was Baltzar able to rise to his position without anyone noticing what was going on behind the curtains? Before his crimes came to light, Baltzar was supported by many high-ranking people, such as former president Tarja Halonen and politicians Ilkka Kanerva and Liisa Jaakonsaari. They are interviewed in the documentary, as well as one of Baltzar’s victims, Linda-Maria Roine, and prison psychologist Pia Puolakka. Finnish documentary.
